Q. How do I get started? A. You contact me through phone or Email to schedule a time and place to meet. This will only be a meet and greet session so we can get acquainted and for me to learn about your pets and their needs. There is no charge. Then if you decide you would like me to be your pet sitter we work out a plan that suits you and your pet. Q. How will I know you have accomplished your session? A. I will leave a note for you that will include info on what we did and any interesting happenings. Q. Are all pets accepted? A. No I can not provide services for pets aggressive towards people. Q. What do I need to provide? A. Keys, the food you want your pet to be given, and info on your pets health and info on what breeds your dogs are if you know it. Q. What types of medications can you administer? A. Only oral and external at the moment. Q. What methods of correction do you use? A. It depends on what behavior I'm correcting. Often for minor things simply redirecting their attention is all that is needed. Other times its more appropriate to give a firm No or hay accompanied by a snapping sound from my fingers. If I'm walking a dog and he tries to gose to bite or bark at another dog I give a tug on the leash but never to hard. I never yell at or swat a pet. Q: Who is your staff? Q. Why is it important to know the breed of my dog? A. This helps me understand more about your dog. Different breed have different characteristics and needs, For example some breeds have a harder time dealing with heat and need to be watched extra closely even if they are young and healthy. Others that are bred for working in water might have a special fondness for swimming. Q. What form of payment do you accept and when is it due? A. Cash or checks. Daily clients must pay at the end of the week for the hours worked that week. Vacation visits must be paid on the firt day or in advance.
A: My assistant Marc accompanies me at
times and is there for backup. You will get a chance to meet him at the meet and greet or shortly after. He is an animal lover whom I fully trust. You will not be charged extra
for any days he has accompanied me. If your pets have high anxiety around men and you wish to entrust me alone with your pets this will be agreed to.
